Day Traders + Jigsaw Feb 2025 Work Around

So the short of it – Day Traders is new, they do have their own Rithmic server. BUT in Jigsaw Daytradr software, the connection isn’t yet available. It’s coming with the next release, I’m not sure when that is. Luckily, there is a work around that works fantastic.

You can contact Jigsaw Support yourself directly if you prefer to get the file from them. This is simply a quick way to do it all, same file I downloaded from them.

Download this XML file (I got it from Jigsaw themselves): https://bit.ly/daytraders-jigsaw-template
Keep Jigsaw Daytradr software closed for the next step
Save the above downloaded file to your windows folder Jigsaw Trading / Connections (you should see XML files of all your other created connections as well in there
Open Jigsaw Daytradr software – under your Connections you’ll now see “Daytraders Connection”
Open that connection, and put in your own Username and Password for Rithmic – do not change any other settings
Now, this is where I was running into a problem – getting an error. What I had to do was then close Jigsaw Daytradr again, go back to the Jigsaw Daytradr / Connections windows folder and DELETE the file that says “Daytraders Connection (Template)” (the one that you downloaded above). This is because a 2nd XML file is created when you entered your own Username/Password, and now that there are 2, its causing an issue. So in summary: Delete the one that ends in (Template), keep the new one that just says “Daytraders Connection”.
Now re-open Jigsaw Daytradr, click to connect to Daytraders Connection, and bingo, all works great.

Hopefully that helps! I’m not sure when Jigsaw is coming up with their next release, could be next week, could be in 2 months. For now, this works great though. Happy trading!
